Western Power Distribution pledges to send no waste to landfill by 2028

As part of their sustainability commitments, Western Power Distribution have announced their plan to send no waste to landfill by 2028, in addition to cutting the tonnage of waste they produce by 30% over a five-year period.
To do this, they will be avoiding the creation of excess waste, reducing any waste that cannot be avoided, and recycling where possible. This goal aligns with their plan to drive decarbonisation and become a net zero business by 2028 – a whole 22 years ahead of UK government targets.
