UK’s first energy-efficient Extra Care scheme opens in Exeter

Edwards Court, the first Extra Care facility in the Exeter area and the first in the UK to be built and certified to Passivhaus standards, has now opened to provide accommodation and support services for people aged 55 and over.
The facility is insulated, and its heat recovery system will reduce the energy required to heat the building by up to 90%. It is also based on Met Office modelling to be climate resilient.
