The BIG FIX is underway this May and will celebrate Repair Cafés and skilled menders who provide broken items with a new lease of life, reducing waste and saving money.

The event is coordinated by the Devon County Council waste team. However, the BIG FIX is open nationally – 43 Repair Cafés in Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and England have already registered.

Last year, 50 Repair Cafés and 580 volunteers took part in the BIG FIX, mending 1,100 items and saving 31 tonnes CO2e. Over 830 cakes and biscuits were served alongside 1,000 cups of tea and coffee!

If you run a Repair Café and would like to take part in The BIG FIX 2023, you can register at The BIG FIX 2023 registration or contact Recycle Devon.
