The South West will be promoted to DIT teams around the world for aviation business and research.

The Department for International Trade (DIT) has recognised the South West as a world leader in Smart and Sustainable Aviation, making it the perfect place to invest in new aviation technologies that could make flying more sustainable in the future.

Several leading and pioneering aerospace companies are based in the South West. This makes it a globally significant place for aerospace developments, and has led to the area being recognised as a High Potential Opportunity (HPO) for the development, demonstration and adoption of sustainable future air transport technologies.
