The South West is among the first four regions of the UK to receive funding support from UK charity The Dixon Foundation, in order to kick-start Dynamic Food Procurement and support the supply of sustainable local food to public institutions.

This funding will lower carbon emissions by shortening food supply chains, while also boosting the local economy and supporting smaller producers. The regions – including The West Midlands, The South West, The North East of England and Scotland – will be supported with these changes by Dynamic Purchasing UK Food (DPUK).
