Six projects that will drive green growth in Devon’s economy have received funding through Devon County Council’s Green Innovation Fund. The projects will cover a range of areas including a zero-emission heating system, a service to support business with reducing their energy usage and costs, and assistance for farmers to transition to regenerative and wildlife-friendly agricultural models. Combined, the projects are expected to save around 100,000 tonnes of carbon over the next ten years.
The Green Innovation Fund, supporting sustainable projects and technologies, is funded through Devon County Council’s £6 million COVID-19 recovery programme. These six projects will be receiving more the £750,000, and will provide both economic and environmental benefits.
