Significant investment for Plymouth’s Eco-Homes scheme
01.08.22

A £330,000 investment from Plymouth City Council’s Plan for Homes, which explores innovation in housing delivery, has boosted an innovative eco-home scheme.
The scheme will be the first new-build scheme in England to use the ‘Energiesprong’ approach to achieve net-zero. It will also be designed using sustainable ‘One Planet principles’. Up to 70 affordable, net-zero carbon homes will be constructed as a result of the scheme, delivered by local partners PEC Homes (set up by local charity, Plymouth Energy Community).
How is this helping Devon reach net-zero?
Action B15. Anchor institutions to deliver net-zero new build to set an example to other regional organisations and establish the South West as a leading region for low-carbon buildings.
