‘Right Stuff, Right Box’ recycling campaign launches in Torbay
08.07.22

Residents in Torbay will soon be provided with new resources to make it easier to recycle as much as possible.
Letters will be distributed over the next few weeks along with coloured stickers for boxes and a new bag for paper, provided by Torbay Council and SWISCo. A green sticker will be used to indicate a recycling box containing plastic, tins/cans, aerosols, batteries (bagged) and mixed textiles (bagged). Additionally, an orange sticker will indicate the other box contains cardboard, glass, oil (sealed) and small electricals. Most paper (except brown paper and brown envelopes) can be placed in the new blue bag.
This sorting process by local residents can make it up to six times quicker for household recycling staff to empty recycling boxes, meaning more materials can be recycled and recycling rounds are completed faster, lowering the carbon footprint of recycling trucks.
