Report says South West set to lead low carbon energy in the UK

The Clean Energy Powerhouse Prospectus – developed by independent centre of energy expertise, Regen – has said that the Great South West of England is set to become one of the leading providers of low carbon energy in the UK by 2035.
535 operational or in development clean energy projects could generate 11% of the UK’s electrical capacity. Projects include Hinkley Point C Nuclear Power Station, floating offshore renewables in the Celtic Sea, and an array of geothermal, hydrogen and other green fuels.
