Uplyme Parish Council are undertaking a project to regenerate underutilised greenspace in Stafford Mount Park.

The project aims to regenerate the space to mitigate against climate change, to make the area more bio-diverse and to improve public involvement with and use of the space.

So far, primary school children in the area have submitted designs for an entrance sign, three mosaic panels, a hedgehog habitat and an insect habitat. The local Rotary Club has also donated plants for the area.

Next steps include collecting donations for the new habitats, creating a seasonal and pollinator-friendly planting design and making grant-funding applications.
