29.08.24

Plymouth City Council secures £458,353 from the Salix Grant and Climate Emergency Investment Fund to fund improvement works in Harewood House in Plympton. Harewood House is a community centre offering a range of multi-use rooms and spaces for community events and gatherings.
This funding forms part of the UK Government’s decarbonisation scheme, providing grant opportunities for local authorities to move towards net zero. Works are expected to include replacing gas boilers with air source heat pumps, a solar panel installation on the roof, a switch to energy-efficient LED lighting, and a boost in loft insulation.
