Plymouth city council announces fleet of 400 hireable e-bikes for 2023
24.05.22

A 400-strong fleet of hireable electric bikes will be ready and available on the streets of Plymouth by 2023.
The bikes are being introduced as part of Plymouth City Council’s mobility hubs project. Bikes will be based all across the city and will be bookable online, making it easy for residents to discover and access them.
Mobility hubs are designed to reduce reliance on private car use whilst maintaining mobility within Plymouth and the surrounding commuter areas. Besides e-bikes, mobility hubs will include electric vehicle (EV) charging points, car club vehicles and journey planning. Combined, these measures will help cut down residents’ reliance on private car use.
These exciting new measures will help transform Plymouth into a greener city, reducing air pollution and encouraging healthier, more sustainable lifestyles.
