We are excited to share that Peninsula Transport has launched a consultation on their Strategic Implementation Plan (SIP). This plan is a crucial part of the Peninsula Transport Strategy, which aims to enhance connectivity, resilience, and sustainability across the region.

The SIP focuses on several key areas. One of the primary goals is to make journeys easier by improving the efficiency and reliability of transport networks. Another significant focus is on promoting the adoption of electric vehicles and supporting the necessary infrastructure to facilitate this transition. Additionally, the plan aims to enhance both digital and physical connectivity to support economic growth across the Peninsula. Completing the transport network to ensure comprehensive and integrated transport solutions is also a critical aspect of the SIP.

Peninsula Transport, as a sub-national transport body, plays a vital role in advocating for investment in freight, rail, and road schemes, as well as supporting Net Zero goals. While they do not directly deliver projects, their influence is instrumental in shaping the future of transport in our region.
