Over 70 new large trees planted in Tavistock

West Devon Borough Council have secured funding from the Urban Tree Challenge Fund, a Forestry Commission Scheme, to plant over 70 new large trees in Tavistock; Bishopsmead, Monksmead and the Meadows.
The funding supports planting at public green spaces within urban environments. The trees will all be planted in late January and early February 2023.
Update on 08.03.23:
The trees have now been planted. The funding also covers protective cages and follow-up watering for the next few years.
