More EV chargers to be installed in Plymouth
28.10.24

Plymouth City Council is launching a new trial for residents who don’t have off street parking and can’t charge their electric vehicles at home.
The pilot is funded by the government’s Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Fund.
The trial will offer 100 pavement channels to allow residents to run an electricity cable from their home to their vehicle and 600 on-street and car park chargers.
Potential locations for the trial will be assessed for suitability depending on land ownership, the position of trees, green spaces and obstacles and services within the footway. Residents can express an interest in taking part in the trial through the Council’s website.
