Mid Devon District Council’s Climate Emergency Planning Policy Statement is now out for consultation until Friday 16th December.

The draft Statement aims to help new developments in the district to meet green credentials in relation to climate change mitigation and adaptation, and support the Council’s move towards a net-zero carbon future.

The statement resources package includes:

– A climate emergency checklist for submitting and assessing planning applications

– Best practice guidance for achieving net zero carbon homes

– A calculator for comparing the costs and benefits of different ‘low carbon’ standards for new homes
