Funding available for social science research projects addressing climate and environmental problems

The first funding call will fund eight to ten small grant awards (up to £30,000).

A million pounds of funding is available through the Advancing Capacity for Climate and Environment Social Science (ACCESS) project for environmental social science work.

The aim of the ACCESS Flex fund is to develop new ways of thinking, methods or practices that enhance the role of social sciences in interdisciplinary research to address climate and environmental problems.

The first funding call with a total value of £250,000 is open now and closes on Friday 30th June. A second call for larger-scale projects will run in 2024.
