First private hire license for an all-electric vehicle issued in North Devon

North Devon Council’s licensing team has awarded a private hire license to South Molton Taxi Service for their all-electric vehicle, marking the first to be licensed in North Devon.
The firm has another all-electric vehicle on order and plans to implement more in the future.
Having the option to travel using shared vehicles such as taxis – particularly those using electricity, rather than fossil fuels – gives individuals the opportunity to reduce their carbon-footprint relating to travel.
