Marsh Barton’s new solar farm and battery storage facility has been shortlisted in the 2023 RTPI South West Awards for Planning Excellence 2023.
It has been shortlisted in the Planning for the Natural Environment category for its 3,700 solar panels which create 1.2MW of renewable energy, as well as its battery facility storing up to 2MW to allow flexibility between peak generation and peak usage.
The facility is estimated to save 580 tonnes of carbon per annum and will increase energy security.
