The Devon Wildlife Trust, on behalf of Exeter City Council, have carried out work in Exeter’s Mincinglake Valley Park to protect amphibians and reptiles.

A hibernaculum – consisting of an underground chamber built up with stones, branches and soil – has been constructed to keep amphibians and reptiles warm during winter. Its first residents have already been moved in from a nearby development site.
