Fifty social housing properties in East Devon will receive ‘Fabric First’ upgrades, as East Devon District Council received £612,000 from central government’s Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund.

The funding will help reduce fuel bills for tenants and deliver warm, affordable homes, we well as creating a significant drop in carbon emissions in the built environment.

‘Fabric First’ measures include investing in cavity wall and roof insulation, draught proofing and replacing windows. Work is due to begin in spring this year, and will help to address fuel poverty for those most at risk.

How is this helping Devon reach net-zero?
