Several Devon organisations have been granted funds from Phase 3c of the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme. The Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme: Phase 3 is a UK government initiative to reduce carbon emissions in public sector buildings. It provides funding to upgrade and retrofit these buildings with energy-efficient and low-carbon technologies. The scheme focuses on heating decarbonisation, including installing heat pumps, insulation, and other measures to improve energy efficiency. The goal is to help the public sector achieve net-zero carbon emissions while reducing energy costs and promoting sustainability.

Recipients from our region include Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service, the University of Plymouth, Mid Devon and Plymouth Councils, and Torquay Boys’ Grammar School, which has been awarded £1.8 million.
