Devon beaches receive Blue Flag award for environmental education and management

Blue Flag beaches have to run a minimum of five educational activities each year making people aware of the importance of looking after the natural environment.

Several Devon beaches have received the international Blue Flag Award from environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy, recognising their high quality environmental education and management.

Winning beaches also excel with their water quality, facilities and safety.

  • Croyde Bay
  • Dawlish Warren
  • Breakwater Beach
  • Broadsands
  • Meadfoot Beach
  • Oddicombe Beach
  • Preston Sands
  • Torre Abbey Sands
  • Westward Ho!
