An award-winning garden from this year’s Chelsea Flower Show has found a meaningful new home at the heart of Plymouth’s community.

The Pathway Garden, which earned a prestigious Silver-Gilt Medal and the Best Environmental Innovation Award, has been relocated to the Shekinah Centre—a local charity that supports people experiencing homelessness.

Co-designed by Allon Hoskin, the garden was created around the theme of homelessness. Its design tells a powerful story: a journey from hardship to hope.

Every element of the garden is recycled or upcycled, aligning beautifully with Devon’s commitment to sustainability and environmental innovation.

John Hamblin, Chief Executive of Shekinah, described the garden’s impact as “transformational.”

Now permanently installed at the Shekinah Centre, the Pathway Garden offers a peaceful, restorative space for reflection and connection—an inspiring example of how environmental design can support both people and the planet.
