Another 2,500 homes and businesses to access full fibre broadband
19.07.22, updated 07.02.23, 12.07.23

The rollout of the Connecting Devon and Somerset (CDS) programme has connected another 2,500 homes and businesses in Devon and Somerset with full fibre broadband.
The ongoing progress of the CDS programme will connect a greater number of rural communities, with a over 315,000 premises being upgraded as a result of CDS investment. Having easier access to the internet will minimise carbon emissions from travelling and help to support more people as working from home becomes the norm.
Update 1:
Another 1,700 homes have been connected as part of the CDS programme as of February 2023.
Update 2:
The programme is approaching its final stages, overcoming obstacles including traffic, flooding, icy conditions and trees knocking out overhead cables.
