Western Power Distribution has created an ambitious Low Carbon Heating Strategy to set out how they intend to connect customers to low carbon heating technologies (LCTs).

The strategy is set to allow for faster and more efficient heat pump connections by installing larger cable assets on new build substations to help reach the government’s goal of 600,000 heat pump connections a year by 2028. This means that customers will be able to connect LCTs quickly and affordably without electricity network capacity being a barrier.

More information on the strategy can be found here.
