The Green Homes Grant Local Authority Delivery Scheme offers financial support to local authorities to help make the hardest-to-heat homes more energy efficient for the most vulnerable people.
East Devon, West Devon, Exeter and Plymouth councils have been successful in applying for the grant for schemes covering their areas. Devon County Council was successful on a consortium bid for the Cosy Devon partnership covering the whole of the county, including Torbay.
From improving insulation to installing new low-carbon heating systems this grant will help hundreds of households across Devon in partnership with community energy organisations who have helped identify eligible properties.
In the face of the climate emergency the scheme will increase the energy efficiency of Devon’s homes, reducing the amount of heat lost and carbon emitted.
