The idea of Net Zero Visions for the Devon transition has taken on something of a life of its own. We’ve heard of some imaginings of places across Devon that individuals and groups have done; we’re aware there’s probably others that have passed us by!
If you have produced a Net Zero Vision then please share it with us through the submission point below. These submissions can be drawn or written and of any artistic ‘standard’ – it’s the process that matters.
These Visions might have been produced for any number of reasons. Perhaps you’re a parent with a child who together reimagined the neighbourhood you lived in for fun; maybe you’re a community group who used Net Zero Visioning as a way to collaboratively initiate, develop or enhance local plans and initiatives.
If you’d like some guidance on how to get started on making your own Net Zero Vision as an individual or community then see the relevant section in the project book, available in public libraries across the county, or as a PDF on this website; there’s also supporting materials in the ‘resources’ section. Essentially, though, the process is quite intuitive: get informed, and start to picture the future you want to live in.
If suitable, submitted Visions will be featured in the online gallery and plotted on the interactive map below to build a mosaic Devon made up of alternative futures. Together we can start to tell a different story about our collective future, raise a wider awareness of what we must do and what is possible, and show what we value most about the places we live in.

To submit your Visions please click either ‘under 18s ‘or ‘18 and over’ below:
Finally, it is hoped that individuals and groups will take and adapt the ‘Net Zero Visions’ idea to their own projects and purposes, in ways unforeseen by the project originators! Please get in touch with the project organisers if you have an idea for how the Net Zero Visions idea might be of use to you and those around you.
