Devon Climate Emergency Tactical Group
The Devon Climate Emergency Tactical Group is comprised of representatives from the Response Group membership. It has been established to provide advice and practical support to the Response Group.
Role
To provide advice and practical support as requested by the Response Group in relation to the production of the project deliverables, as described in the Terms of Reference of the Response Group. This will involve providing resources to help organise and produce the deliverables outside of the Tactical Group meetings.
Meetings
Initially, the Tactical Group is meeting on an ad-hoc basis whilst the project start-up phase is underway. Thereafter, the frequency will be dictated by tasks requested by the Response Group. Meetings will be dial-in with a physical option where low-carbon transport can be used.
Communications
The minutes of the Tactical Group will be published on the project website following their sign-off.
Membership
Any member of the Response Group is invited to provide a representative at the Tactical Group.
Chairperson
The Chair of the Tactical Group will initially be provided by the Secretariat. The Response Group can change the Chair at any time.
Sub-Groups
The Tactical Group can establish sub-groups to support the roles allocated to it on a task and finish basis without the mandate of the Response Group.
Resources
Resources to operate the Tactical Group will be allocated by the Response Group members.
Secretariat
Devon County Council’s Environment Group will provide the secretariat function. Other members’ assistance with this is encouraged. A dedicated Project Manager will be appointed by Devon County Council to support this process, acting in the interest of all members.
